Developed during my artist residency at V2, Rotterdam, Netherlands.
It is time we strap on our auxiliary organs, create space for new kinds of intimacy, find out what it could mean to be human.
A Cryptanalysis of the Foreign Body Language is a performative piece in which audiences are invited to wear a head restraint which incorporates a tongue circuit board that enables them to feel the artist's physiological or emotional changes as electrical stimulation patterns on their tongue. Akin to learning a new language, the brain could be trained to recognize these patterns as meaningful information, such as pain, arousal, excitement.
